Sheet music reader for no-nonsense musicians
Your music binder, on an iPad. Nothing else.
Corecanto loads your PDFs, turns pages, takes pencil markings, and keeps everything on the device. No account, no cloud, no subscription.
Coming soon to the App Store See what it does
Free. Runs on iPads back to 2017.
A few things, done well
Corecanto is built to be light. It does what an ensemble or lessons folder does and stops there, so it stays fast on the iPads students actually use.
Import any PDF
Scans, publisher downloads, your own engravings. The original file is kept untouched on the device.
Pencil markings
Breath marks, cutoffs, dynamics, circled rests. Markings stay with the score and survive re-imports.
Sets for every program
Group pieces into a concert order, a Sunday service, or a semester of lessons, and move through them in sequence.
Works offline, always
No sign-in, no sync, no spinner. Everything lives on the iPad, so it works in a sanctuary basement or a bus.
Share bundles, not links
Hand a whole set to a section leader as one file. They open it and have the same music and markings.
Backups you own
Export a backup of your library to wherever you keep files. Restore it on a new iPad in one step.
Made for the people who stand in front of an ensemble
Full score up, markings in, turn pages without looking down.
Classroom sets that work on district iPads with no accounts to manage.
Sunday’s order of service as one set, ready before the first downbeat.
Each student’s repertoire in its own set, with your pencil notes on every page.
Runs on the iPad you already have
Most music apps chase the newest hardware. Corecanto is tuned for the iPads sitting in a school cart or a church office, going back about nine years.

Why “Corecanto”
Italian is a core language of music and musicians, and this one word reads three ways at once. Cor represents heart throughout operatic repertoire; canto is song, or singing, or the melody line itself.
- Admittedly Poetica neologism of two words central to the art of song and singing
Privacy
Corecanto has no account to create and no server to talk to. Your scores, sets, markings, and backups are stored on your iPad and go only where you choose to send them. The app collects no personal information and contains no analytics or advertising.
